Hi Vertigo,

I've had a look at the walls of Pantone's crown (or however it's spelt) and not been all that impreseed,
even though on the map it looks amazing.

A friend of mine (my mum's boyfriend) has done a lot of canyoning in this area (as well as the lower
Wolgan) and says there are some good looking cliffs lower down in the Wolgan Valley.

Have you done much in the Wolgan? Have you been down as far as the Wolgan Pillar? There is still a
route to be done to the top of it, which will go - it will just be a bit exiting near the top as there are some
loose bits, or unprotected face sections. Take your choice. the spire/pillar is amazing though - would be
amazing to stand on the top of it. It looks to be about the size of 3 or so tennis courts at the top.

are a few other good options to get to the ledge about 40m from the top (which was near our high point of
the lower summit).

Otherwise there is heaps of great looking climbing to be done in the Masters Mountain / Wonga Mountain
region. The Walls of Jherico also look amazing. There are large sections of choss, but also some really
big looking nice rock. Would be excellent to head in there for a week, camp and put up new routes.

Oh... I love the Wolgan.
