Hi All,
I've noticed a lot of people who seem to be very disappointed in the lack of competition in VIC this year,
and quite rightly so given the comp series that run in other States.
Running big comps (i.e. state and national titles) is a huge burden for any size gym to bare, financially
and time wise.
What i would like to do is propose that a working group of any climbers interested in competitions (whether
competing, officiating, judging, belaying, route setting, PR etc) get together to try and get some ideas and
inspiration in to the lagging comp scene.
casual thing to start with, have a few beers, maybe go somewhere for a meal and talk of food (always
good!)
Queensland has a very energetic and pro-active group of climbers and parents-of-climbers who make
there comp scene so good (i.e. Nationals last year!). To get a group like that working in every state is our
aim.
So come on Victorians... put your hand up and be rewarded (no, sorry, not financially, but you'll get a
fuzzy warm feeling in your heart :)

Cheers,
