Anyone planning on going to this slide show? I must admit to not having attended slide shows prior to Neil's Baffin adventure, but having really enjoy that, I'm of a mind to take a punt and check this one out too. At the risk of sounding politically incorrect, Sam Berry isn't hard on the eyes and it sounds like Rick might have some grand tales to tell.

Beatuy and the Beast is a slideshow presentation featuring lectures by Samantha Berry (Australia's leading female sport climber - the beauty!) and Rick White (Australian climbing ledgend - the beast!).

Samantha will be describing the view from the perspective of the sisters of the climbing fraternity and Rick will take you on a journey that begins in the 60's (with the discovery, naming and development of Australia's premier crack climbing crag - Frog Buttress), changes through the 70's (the first Australian ascent of El Capitan and two expeditions to Patagonia) conquers the 80's (an unroped solo ascent of Balls Pyramid and a 13 day ascent of Shivling's east pillar) and concludes (with expeditions to Cho oyu and Everest) before he was struck down by a rare muscle wasting disease.
