Joe Simpson has something to say about this kind of caper in Dark Shadows Falling. His point, if I remember correctly, was something to the effect of "1) even if you're dying, it makes all the difference to not be alone; 2) you'd be amazed at what people can survive, just look at me!" Guess it all depends on what's important to you. Could you lie straight in bed after passing a dying man? What if you got fame, publicity, some money, and a new career in public speaking into the bargain? Plenty of people could think of a reason to keep on marching. Kyle
