Hi Pebbles,

You might find people don't care about your opinion unless you are prepared to put your name on it. People who put their names on their posts regularly have to cop bullets for their opinion (and if you're someone that does lots of work for the benefit of others this can often be very hurtful and make you want to stop bothering), but at the same time people are respected for their opinion and receive positive feedback accordingly. Anonymous people will only cop bullets. No name equals no praise. Period.

Not everyone can stand at the bottom of a cliff with a drill and a box of bolts. As we don't know who you are, we don't know your background either. But I can tell you right now that bolting is hard work, and often comes at the expense of a day's climbing. Personally, I am grateful to the people who put in the time to do it, so the rest of us can swan in on the weekend and climb the routes.

If you find certain routes offensive, perhaps just avoid those routes. But surely you must appreciate that your opinion is not the only opinion. There'll always be plenty of other people out there that enjoy a route that you didn't.

Consider identifying yourself – the conversation might get more interesting and people might actually care what you have to say. Until then don't be surprised if noone does care.
