My first abseil was cool, even though I got to the point of balance about 8 times then decided to check the rig again..and again... that was long ago.. I still re-check the rig twice before and after each person. Last weekend my 2nd wanted to know why HE had to abseil first and of that Skanky Tree we were using.. What if it didn't hold.. I told him to pull his head in because if it didn't hold, I'D be STUCK up here with no rope!!! at least HE'D be on the ground.. Ralph
