Yeah I have a 2004 mazda van for work that I take up to the grampians, for pleasure other than climbing I purchased a 1970 HG Kingswood that had a 161 6 cylinder and a 3 speed manual. I quickly removed the motor and build a 350 cu in small block chev with aluminium heads, solid roller cam, msd ignition, 750 double pumper carb, straight cut gears, ballanced and blue printed bottom end....etc. As for the auto its a 2 speed race glide with 4200 hi stall. Diff is a ford 9" with shortened billet axles with a 4:11 ratio.
On the dyno the engine made a bit over 500 hp. Should be able to drive her next week pending the weather is good.
Tried to upload a photo of the motor when i installed it but the file is too big(603kb). Any clues for a novice computer operator to post the photo?
