sounds like a bit of a tug (read artistic license) story to me. ...small clump of snow, body weight, jumar action on rope, holding power of snow???? what does that mean, clump of snow on flat surface, clump of snow of vertical wall? how did he clear "the jam", blow the snow off? Oh, and another thing, if it was a featureless face, after the rope was "unjammed" how did he absail down, did he make a ledge out of snow then set up some anchors made of snow? certainly sounds like he was jummaring somthing around the campfire that night for sure... mike, you like to stir us up dont you still, i wasnt there on the cliff......and yes i have too much time on my hands :-o
