There was an earlier thread here in chockstone about climbing in the olympics, there were some views expressed in there as well: http://www.chockstone.org/Forum/Forum.asp?Action=Display&ForumID=1&MessageID=3652&Replies=1 I guess the UIAA considers olympic exposure of the sport a good thing - given how the technical committee has been having meetings over the issue and pursuing that as a long-term goal. I wonder what their reasoning was and how they've taken into account those potential impacts pointed out here and in earlier threads.
