Well Neil and co, certainly put on a great night. The slides were simply amazing and that video clip looked fantastic. Neil obviously knows what he's doing as a video photographer and editor. The commentary from the three of you really brought the thing to life too. I was cringing at the tale of the rope being cut on the first pitch, and physically shivering during those river crossings.

You could easily fill an hour long doco with just the material you showed and interviews from yourselves. My friend Richard's comment as we left was "I can't wait to see this '40 days and zero nights'", in regards to your intended full length doco. Rich exclaimed excitedly that his favouriate slide was the one where you pointed to the river you'd crossed far in the distance and a long, long way below your precarious stance high on the rocky peak. As a non-climber Rich's wife Ainslie, was taken by the remoteness of the trip, and the effort required to simply arrive at the base of the routes. I could hear small gasps when the photos of the rain soaked bivi ledge appearred, dangling as if by a thread above that stunning drop.

Well done guys! $10k a piece seems a small price to have paid for such an incredible adventure. I was truly impressed with the scale, remoteness, struggle and beauty of the expedition and the quality of the photos and narration during the evening. You got quite good turn up too. Filled half the theatre. For all those that missed out I suggest a visit to the Baffin web site or tracking Neil down personally and showing an interest in his intended documentary. You can be sure it will get a good review over here on Chockstone.

So where to next? Surely with credentials like that under your belt it will be off for a quick sprint up K2?
