Hmm The number I was thinking of is 112, and it sounds really usefull. According to Jac's link, you can dial it on a mobile phone that is locked, or even one without a sim card anywhere in the world, and you will be directed to the local emergency center. That means if someone is injured, you can use their mobile phone to call for help, even if the phone is locked and you dont have the pin. Nice.
