The speed of the fire has slowed overnight due to increased humidity.
Fire-fighters are currently blacking out and monitoring three spot overs into the Victoria Range on the Western flank.
Ember attack ceased in Halls Gap overnight.
Halls Gap is (currently) no longer experiencing ember attack.
Faced with yet another difficult day in the face of squalling winds and possible thunderstorms, the 742-strong crew focused on blacking out and monitoring spotting on the fire’s western edge.
