For a good guide, sixty bucks is okay as it just cost me almost that much to drive back from there in petrol!
The current guide was a good one, but the access descriptions are hard to follow at times and the fires have changed ome 'faint tracks' to 'no tracks'.
The market for guide books is indeed small. Most climbers I've been out with don't have more than one or two guidebooks, many have none! A team will often buy one book between them. Besides that, there just aren't a lot of climbers. |
