A friend of mine got talking to a local resident of Timmins St in Northcote (the location of a fun bluestone bouldering wall for those that haven't been there) and it seems the local council is planning on removing the strip of grass from the bottom of the wall to put in parallel parking. I know a few people fond of bouldering there and uni clubs use it for anchors training. Local residents are apposed to the parking plan and are apparently having a bbq on the said piece of grass this Saturday arvo to plan some protest action. So if you're in the area why not wonder down and lend some support (and have a boulder :)). Whilst using a new sports car as a bouldering pad sounds like fun it seems a shame to lose another little patch of green to the ever expanding grey :)

Didn't they just replant all the trees they cut down below the wall last year?
