Josh http://www.weatherunderground.com/ is a network of government / aviation and private weather stations around the world which has decent information. As for wireless, may not be the best option if you're going to rural places, dial up is available anywhere there is a phone line (including some pay phones) ie those blue ones often found at servo's , caravan parks etc, its a standard phone connection, just unplug the payphone, dial in, dont even have to pay for the call ;) just dont get caught out by the owner
