i was going to post under you yangs suckety suck but seems they have copped a beating here so i will add my 2cents worth. years ago leading at my limit i fell off check point charlie at its first bolt befor i clipped (first bolt about 4m) no damage. recently i went back to big rock with my partner with the intention of her leading east meets west first bolt at about 7m i ended up leading this and found it a bit airey as the rock is still a bit crumbly (no taffic?) and thought i'm glad im not at my limit as a fall from here is going to hurt. basically my point is that the harder the route is at the youies the more bolts it gets shouldn't all climbs be treated equally when being bolted. |
