Lol. I feel for you. Early trips of any kind are often screaming disasters no matter where you go so don't worry... just try again.

Yes, and you will let them because you'll know that the little one's wellbeing is one thousand times more important than your climbing - well hopefully anyway. They'll rule your life to a large extent. It's a compromise - I find that I had to work around baby as well as her working around my lifestyle. Still do. Routines are great if you're that way inclined but some people don't like them. Some people actually do carry on their life as if nothing's changed but is that really fair for a little tyke to live the life of an adult? eg. late night movies and parties? I know people who do that and the children do everything the parents do and go to bed when they do. I know others who are always looking for somewhere to offload the child/ren so they can go about their normal lives. I guess everyone's different and there's no rule book and you'll find there's no rule book with your child's name on it....ie. they are all individual and have different needs and varying requirements in quanitity and type of attention..does that make sense?
Has this forum turned into a parenting advice line? sorry to anyone who's bored. I think I'm over it now because the baby days are finished....for now at least!

good luck with the little boy Setha. I'm quite sure he'll bring you much more happiness and satisfaction than any onsight!
