Yes, Sydney or Melbourne, not Brisbane in this respect. May depend on your line of work though.

Proximity to Blue Mtns climbing: Depends on where you live in Sydney. You can live at the foot of the Blue Mountains and still be in Sydney. But if you are young and single I'd suggest the lower north shore or eastern suburbs. If you are serious about the hot pink sequins then go for inner eastern suburbs.

Many Sydneysiders are proud of our pink sparkly, fluffy clad men. Not because we like watching them prance around or think they look cool but because it's a symbol of what Sydney offers people which has a lot to do with freedom of choice in the way you live. I'm proud to be a born and bred Sydneyite (and I don't meet a lot). It's this cosmopolitan lifestyle that is recognised around the world and makes Sydney special and an attractive place to come to no matter what your interests or what team you like to bat for. And yes you can swap teams if you wish (if that's what James means). Most people here don't really care what others do.
