Hey its meee!!!!!!!
Thanks for the advice, I hadnt realised that Mikl posted anything until just then
I believe I've partially torn an A4 of my ring finger on my left hand. I was bouldering in the gym and felt sharp stabbing pains in the area, so stopped. I havent really been training or climbing anything hard recently, just been going climbing. I was at a particularly overhung piece of shit wall I have never been to before, for some reason, and there are few warm ups there. The first thing i tried to warm up on I used a small left sidepull, which i think might have stressed my finger. When i got on a harder route after this, i used a similar, small sidepull with a pocket in it, that my finger fell into. I was pulling on this when there was a sound like crunching bone/someone whipping the cliff. I couldnt feel anything at the time, but my figer went limp. I lowered off and when the blood returned it was pretty painful.
I have quite a bit of movement, although I cant even rest the finger on anything or else it really, really hurts. So any pulling is out of the question.
I have buddy taped the finger, but dont know what else i can do, in terms of speeding a recovery. When should I start strengthening? Like I said, it only hurts to pull, not so much to touch the finger, so massaging is a good idea?
