Love your work Christian! Cant wait to slap a sloper on your walls. I'll happily pay $10 a day but hope memberships will be available and a bit cheeper than that, as I am just a climbing bum (no suit here). Oh yeah, can you please use color coded tape to mark your routes like they do in North America. That way we wont be hanging on, wondering if the next hold is yellow, or just a chalk coated green.
As for all that other mumbo jumbo, simey cracks me up! It's easy to for him to say we should all be out training on real rock while he sits in the pub collecting royalties less than 10 minutes from Araps. However, those of us in the big smoke have to work occasionally and there's no god d*mn rock in Melbs. This Bud's for you simey.
What I love most about climbing is being in the nature, venturing into no-mans-land and searching that weathered stone for a decent hold, jam or lock. But in order to maintain my strength I need to climb regularly.
For me, there is nothing appealing about buildering. All the traffic, graffity and dumbfounded onlookers kind of detracts from the movements and holds that the bridges have to offer. I'd much rather spend a few hours with some mates listening to music and pulling down on plastic. It feels alot more like climbing.
