Yep, that is what I was thinking when I left uni, get a good 'flex-time' job. During my final interviews when asked the question how does the company deal with flex time. My interviewers looked at me confused 'flex-time, whats that?'

Get your HR/HC/MC, go work in a mine (Stall is a good option, only 20mins to the gramps). 4 on, 4 off. All you have to do is drive and they give you $60k for it, and you get half the year off (plus your four weeks). They always need workers, so you can take 3-6-12 months off, and there will be a job waiting to be filled.
