Thanks to all for the replies.
Kieranl - I have consulted a physiotherapist. And an orthopaedic surgeon. And a biomechanist. And just about every other professional remotely related to shoulder injury and rehab. What I was specifically looking for is some information from people who may have been in the same (or similar) situation who could share their experiences in regard to their rehabilitation and how it affected climbing in particular. I apologise if I didn't make myself clear in the first place, but thanks for your feedback.
