Not to put a dampener on this topic, and believe me i think its great that they can climb so hard (although it doesnt seem that way), but i wonder how well they could climb on trad, where IMHO you need to be a real climber (not sure if thats the right word), but you need to know how to place gear, trust it, etc. its a lot harder to hang around place gear, instead of clipping bolts. i wonder whether these kids have started out in gyms, or the rock, either way and have simply jumped onto sport routes, training 5 nights a week in gyms when you cant get to the rock, then out to the sport routes on the weekend, almost treating the rock like a climbing gym. call me cynical but thats my opinion..
