I once led up a short easy climb to set up some top ropes for some ‘mates’ who were occasional indoor climbers. They all knew how to belay quite well although none of them could lead. Nothing went wrong that day or that week, but a while later I was sent a few photos of my trusted belayer unclipping from the rope and smiling at the camera as I was unknowingly placing a now useless piece of gear. No revenge, but needless to say I don’t climb with them anymore.
