I'm certainly not a grade ticker. I guess my issue is more that my climbing options are often limited because of my ability. I went to Krabi over summer, and found that I had ticked off everything I could lead by the first couple of weeks. This was a bit frustrating; I think that if I could climb harder stuff in the sixes then I could have got more out of it. Don't get me wrong, I had a great time, but you can only spend so much time with other people, begging to second their leads. I guess this isn't such a problem in the Grampians or Arapiles, but when on a short day trip to Mt Alex or Werribee Gorge, I run out of stuff to climb. That's the main reason I would like to push my grades, I guess.
