this would probably be more appropriate for a "funniest thing you've seen" thread...anyway

I was climbing Barbed Tongue direct [18**] at black ians with a friend of mine. I led it, noticed the fixed wire that looked like it would come out easily and kept climbing. I pointed out to my friend that if she got the wire out, it would be hers - suggested taking something up to bash at it with, like a rock

"how am I going to carry a rock up?" she asked
"put it between your...erm...chest" i replied [she has more than average storage space there]

so she stuck a rock between her...chest... climbed up and had a go. Couldn't get the nut out - but the story doesnt end there.

later that day i led "Hang on". Friend had a go 2nd-ing but couldnt do it, so i lowerd her off. When she reached the ground i noticed her discreetly removing a rock from down her top

"why did you leave the rock in there?" i asked
"i didn't, this is a different one. I've never climbed an 18 clean before and figured it was good luck to have the rock there"
