Big John has a bunch of different rubber types and thicknesses he can resole with, but tends to put on higher performance rubber (ie quicker wearing) unless you specify otherwise. He does have a heavy duty resoling option that he recommends for gym and general use (haven't gone this option myself but probably will next time). The Nati shop might have a similar choices(?) Big John charges something like $45 for a half resole and $15 for a rand.
