I think supplements are fine to a certain extent. They don't replace the real thing and often aren't digested or taken by the body as readily as the real deal. "Everything in moderation" is the key. Just like eating healthily, if you start to become too concerned with that kind of stuff, it can lead to problems. Key word in that sentence being CAN. I am obviously not saying everyone is going to become junkies or anything like that. If you just use it to make sure you're definitely getting your daily dosage and thus you're body's functioning at it's peak, hey go for it!
The problem I've found from personal experience, and again this depends on other factors like personality and situation, is that when you start taking weight loss, healthy eating, etc. too seriously you can (again can) get into difficulties. I got myself into this hole a while ago, thinking I was healthy because I ate heaps of vegies and stuff. However I'd started to think of "healthy eating" and supplements and exercise as ways to change what is biologically unchangeable . THAT is where problems can start. And let me re-iterate for the final time this varies from person to person.
In conclusion to this essay entitled Tav's crap, everything in moderation, it's all good if you think about it as working with what your body already has rather than changing it, and whatever you do, take care of yourself.
