On the flip side though, lots of people climb for the risk factor, and sometimes (as LittleMac so wonderfully epitomised for us) for the aches and "punishment" that comes with it. People in sports often don't look after their bodies very well, a climber might not smoke or drink but may eat less than they should or fast to lose weight because of the belief less weight means better climbing (too bad they're actually losing muscle mass not fat). You're lucky Steph in that you have a good and up to date idea of what is and isn't good for your bodyand you stick to it.
