Steve, now with the temps dropping in the Mtns, you'll probably have to wait until later in the year.
With most of routes out there being multi pitch, quick escape is not that simple compared to single pitch
routes in the mountains. Your best bet for winter in the mountains is Bowens Creek, Shipley (if it's not too
windy) and parts of Mt York.
However, on the other side of the Gross at Perry's Lookdown/Anvil Rock is a 3 pitch sport route called
The Ordinary Route (23). Haven't done it but from all reports it's stellar and is in the sun most of the
morning in winter. |
