I know a guy who took a 30mtre fall on Fortress Crack (Grose Valley) after he fell 20mtres above the belay and the karabiner on the nut/cam (far) below him snapped. Finding yourself 10mtres below the belay must suck!! Suprisingly he managed to finish the climb. His belayer had a sore head/neck from being slammed up into the roof of the little cave he was belaying in.
