Well if heated debate is desired, Pat is the lad for the job. He likes to fire people up. Make them think. Stimulate expression and differing opinions. It's just his way and if you take the time to get to know him, you'll see his ribbing is good natured enough. I count Pat as great friend and climber, though we don't always agree on topics. But if everyone agreed on everything it'd be a pretty boring world.

He's the Anakin Skywalker of the local climbing scene. Alas sometimes he forgets Obi-Wan's advice and is drawn to the darkside. But I swear sometimes he uses the force to adhere to slopers, and pull those micro crimps! He climbs way harder than me.

The VCC has been very supportive of Chockstone and I personally admire all guide book contributers. The better the guides, the better we can spend our precious climbing time.
