That is also mentioned on the RC.com website. Apparently because with boulders you can eyeball most of the moves from the ground it doesn't count as an onsight. The forum on Yuji is quite interesting. Apparently you can eyeball most of the moves on the route because it starts almost in a hole etc and also apart from admitting that he belayed someone on the route previously he stared at the route for three days before attempting it.
No matter what the case it is an awesome achievement. It is actually quite an interesting thread to read, highly reccommend it. |
