Thankyou for your thoughts, perhaps forward them to Rocket.

Litter Police???? Try Again, Maybe with a Park Ranger's uniform. but that would be fraud,
and that's bad, Mmmkay :)

Some of your approaches are just plain agressive. they MIGHT work for you most of the time, until you
try it on someone who arcs up easily and tells you to f--- right off with a look that you know means
business.

No-body appreciates the nazi approach. most people would like to consider themselves as reasonable
human beings - even if they aren't. If you approach someone in a reasonable way, it at least gives them
the opportunity to respond the same way.

EG: Hi!, I just saw you throw your cigarette butt/food wrap/plastic bottle etc on the ground. It would be
really great if you could just put it in your pack until you get to a bin. thanks!! (then you can just walk
away- and remember to SMILE and have a cheery "how ya goin' mate!" tone of voice)
Even if they get snotty, their internal guilt should do the work for you. You can even offer them an empty
film canister for their butts, so they have a neat little portable ashtray that wont stink their pack up.(have a
couple on hand for this purpose)

I find it's better to be civil and polite wherever possible. It makes the litter dropper appear the bad guy if
they start abusing you. - challenging sometimes to maintain one's cool, ultimately more rewarding and
easier to guilt-trip them into picking their shit up.

If you can keep calm when they get shirty, then you have won - especially if there is a sympathetic
audience.
