I think butt litter is another symptom of Smoker's Denial. Smokers seem to be in denial about all sorts of things!

- adverse health effects (smoking causes around 30% of all cancers)
- they think it relaxes them/has some actual benefit
- they think they don't reek
- they think their discarded butts will just disappear (maybe because they're made of cotton? - they're not!)
- they think their loved ones will actually enjoy nursing them through self-induced smoking related illness
- that their choice only affects them - an estimated 4 million die every year from passive smoking related illness. For example, spouses of smokers are 30% more likely to have heart attack than spouses of non-smokers...
AND the biggest one of all....
-THEY THINK THEY'RE ADDICTED

I think my favourite part of a smoker would have to be their breath after having a cigarette and a cup of coffee. It smells like dog shit. Really.
