If someone left gear on Tannin overnight it would be gone pretty quickly I think (Refer to booty discussion elsewhere). I certainly wouldn't be comfortable clipping someone elses trad. I'd probably take it off and leave a note on the board for the owner to collect it (or post a note on Chockstone). My assumption would be that someone had an accident and had to leave the gear there.
Leaving gear on routes is only common for hard sport climbs. So there is a major difference here. |
