i think it was mike law who said something in a recent article about grading; that people will be willing to keep a grade that they felt was hard at that grade because they don't want to admit they struggled on 'only a 18' or something like that. but ppl are always happy to say: that was very easy for the grade, and then downgrade the climb. sandbagging at its finest! |
