It is a common and well obsereved observation that very few serious accidents actually occur during roped climbing. Why????
The simple answer is climbers are generally aware of the actual dangers and often perceive more danger than there really is. All of this equates to a high degree of safety measure being implemented. Helmets are just one of these safety measures and have in the past been responsible for saving peoples lives.
Your choice or not if you wear one. |
