yeah, i agree, but i like to make things hard for myself. sometimes i use chalk indoors, but i try not to (see "breaking the habit:three step's to success", by itchyfingers) as it messes with my program. i was climbing a hard, sloper climb at hardrock on mon and used no chalk and still made it (but almost came off). (yes, my hands sweat a bit). i think chalk in that case may have helped me a bit, not that much, but i also think that chalk is fine to be used in climbing gyms (but i can see the headlines now: "legislation bans the use of chalk in gyms: reminescent of anti-smoking decrees"). |
