I imagine that most of the people on this board would be VCC members. For me joining the VCC was a pretty easy decision:

* It's a way of putting something back into the rock climbing scene without being able to spend time getting out there and developing new climbs etc. (see the thread on that)
* It's cheap
* You can turn up to the trips and meet lots of nice people
* I like getting the Argus in the mail every few weeks - some issues are mainly new routes, but most have at least a few articles of interest
* It gets you discounts at most stores/gyms (I suspect that it pays for itself fairly quickly just through discounted gym membership/store purchases
* It enables dedicated people to pursue land access issues, items like the burnley bouldering wall etc.
