I think leo haulding was 'seriously' (this guys nuts) considering the possibility of soloing bigwalls with a base jumping chute attached. Not very feasible as when you fell you wouldn't be in the right orientation to pull the chute, etc.
I think sport will hit a ceiling eventually as placing draws clipping, will become the crux, bouldering prob still has a way to go, trad grades will catch sport grades (theyre close) and more and more hard stuff will go on in the mountains (so much still to be done there)
I also reckon we'll see more multipitch sport routes ala europe.
