Complicated really. It took longer to work out the locally used grading system than it did to climb the route. The conversion is:
TD+: overall route grade, although we got called sandbaggers, and upped it to ED1
W3: the waterfall ice component (40 metres of 75 to 80 degree ice. Mmmm)
V+: the hardest rock moves (about 15-16 Ewbank)
A2: the aid component |
