It seems likely that after years of railing against the establishment, Kent may be intent on becoming one of them.

My theory is that Kent is in the process of joining that bastion of climbing conservatism, the Victorian Climbing Club. With six months of wine appreciation and organisation of weekend trips to far flung corners of the state, there will be a meteoric rise through the ranks of this blue-blood organisation, followed by a run for President in early 2006.

With his right-wing rantings on Chockstone carefully erased, there will be nothing capable of stopping the political juggernaught of the KP campaign.

After sweeping to power, incidences of fixed wires being installed on new routes will be reported in the You Yangs. President KP will react quickly, by declaring a state of emergency and declaring himself 'President for Life'.

His first step in his new position as Victorian Climbing Supremo will be to re-name Argus 'Prada', and have it issue a special edition, consisting of articles and letters praising the benefits of commercially viable home-made hangers and decrying the placement of fixed wires. The issue will also feature a full page apology for the previous regimes practice of printing letters by Justin Thyme.

Onward the Revelution ;-).
