I have a set of the "Yellow Jumars" with the Red (Left) & Blue (Right) coding and am more than happy with them ICW 2 pairs of 5 step 1.8 M West Aust made Etriers.
However : I have heard that these aren't as good as "others" when applied to icy ropes. Is this true ? & to what extent ? & what ascending device is better for ascending icy ropes ? Which Jumars are less prone to "disengage" from "less than vertical" ropes ?
