i can also highly reccomend the point and stay at honeymoon bay if there is room. it would be worth calling the ranger to check when the penninsula will be open, its normally not a problem but it would be a pain to drive 7hrs and find it was closed for part of your trip.
also dont forget the rap rope and if you are planning anything on the lower cliff line (highly reccomended but often a touch chossy) then a set of big cams makes life alot more comfortable.
other than that makes sure you do grey mist which has to be one of the best 17's in the state, great position and 30m of imaculate climbing up a discontinous crack system on perfect rock. |
