A german couple were extremely excited at the birth of their firstborn..a son. Their excitement turned to concern however when he failed utter any sound. As an infant not a goo or gaa came from his mouth and by the age of four, he had still uttered no sound.
This continued right through his childhood. No specialist was able to diagnose a problem.
The parents loved their son nonetheless and on his 18th birthday the mother had prepared one of his favourite sweets, apple strudel.
The sons eyes widened as it was placed in front of him and on his first mouthful he dropped his spoon and began fanning his mouth. He looked at his parents,
'diz sstrruuudel tiz very hawt !!'
his parents were shocked, overcome with emotion at hearing their son speak, these were the first sounds to escape his lips.
with tears of joy streaming down her face the mother said, 'my son you can speak, but why have you said nothing all these years'
the son looked at his mother and his eyes narrowed slighlty,' Veelll, up to now,.. everyssing haas been per fect ly zatisfactory'
