sensational stuff. good to stir up some controversy. certainly use whatever you are comfortable with on the first ascent, be it bash ins, dynabolts etc, but replacing them after is a responsible course of action. i wasnt really serious about the "new rating system" as it only referred to bolts, not the rest protection possiblities. think about it. how appealing is a route when the description says something like. "climb delicately past the manky rusty bolt to the single rusty carrot lower off bolt". mmmm by the way - no nastiness intended A5. im just not tough enough to grow a proper beard.
