nicely put damieta and santa. you guys are on the right program.
If A5 had his way, then maybe we would need to invent an additional grading system to describe the seriousnessof climbing on completely shit bolts. something along the aid climbing grading A0- A5. maybe we could name it after A5. himself.
something along the lines of if a bolt on a grade 20 will probably pull out on bodyweight and a bad groundfall is the result, then its might be given 20 B5 (B is for Bolt quality or bogus). etc etc.
maybe ill have to grow a big cranking beard and join a certain climbing club to understand the driving argument behind enjoying the satisfaction of being completely scared t of my mind because the bolt ive clipped could be worthless shit or quite good. one never knows with a bash in carrot. it would be fairly stupid to die or become permanently incapacitated because some wa..k.r thought he would be adventurous and place a crappy bashin carrot when there is perfectly good and much safer technology out there.
