I received an email from Rein Kamar while I was in Sydney. "Letting you know that sadly Fox (aka Ian Ross) passed away in New Zealand yesterday. Fox had been battling liver cancer for some time and seemed to be doing well, but suddenly succumbed. His funeral is on Tuesday" (that was on the 21st) He was the climber that Black Ians Rocks was named after. He was "Black" Ian because of the practical jokes he was fond of playing. He later became Fox(y) after shaving his beard off in NZ.
