You put gear on your harness? i thought your generation still used gear slings!

Same here - as I said above, if it's a tricky placement, I'll go out of my way to try get a good hold for my left hand.

I sometimes try to play tennis left handed; try to write with my left hand - just to ensure that I'm not completely useless with it.
My father-in-law lost the fingers on his right hand in a circular saw accident... he still writes with his right hand stumps, but obviously has had to learn to use his left for most other things.
